This is my favourite "energy bar" for cycling.
It is filled with a lot of good things such as protein and Omega 3 that will help me finish my ride and warm the soul of fellow riders I share it with.
It is very simple and fast to cook, I believe anybody can cook it.
After years of making it it evolved to present recipe but it can be adjusted depending of what you got in your kitchen or preferences, sometimes I substitute the choco chips with dried coconut chips and or roasted nuts bits, dry raisin are also great in it.
A long day cycling with good friends
The DMCX Cycling Club ride around Awaji island finally happened after being cancelled in May due to Typhoon hitting the area.
At 6:20AM, with 3 other DMCX riders from Kansai area we boarded the little ferry that transported us and our bikes from Kobe to the northern part of Awaji island.

According to the human Circadian biological clock, 17:00 might be the optimum time to do physical exercise.
In the end of the afternoon the cardiovascular efficiency and muscular strength are at they greatest.
Is it why most bicycle races ends around 17:00 ?
